Review from Caprice

I was recently at a public swimming pool playing with my daughter when a young girl went bouncing by us on her toes. She passed us and then I heard the lifeguard jump in behind me and pull this same girl out! Drowning is not noisy and dramatic like shown in the movies. It was quite and fast. I looked at my own daughter swimming around confidently and I knew with a wave of relief that would never be her. I spent years glancing at Swim Float Swim! from the outside as I drove by the building on my trips around town. At one point I looked up the cost and thought “There’s no way I can do that.” Now I wish that I had enrolled my now 6 year old daughter sooner and saved myself so much stress! I won’t lie, the first 3 days my daughter was in class were hard. When your child is calling out for you and scared, it’s hard not to rush in and SAVE them. But, I knew the point of being here was that I wanted her to be able to SAVE herself. The staff was so supportive and after 3 days my daughter was smiling and swimming across the pool! This is the best thing that I have ever done for her and a gift of ability and confidence that she will have her whole life. We tried years of other swim classes and had a moment of terror when she slipped in and the instructor,  busy with a huge group of kids, didn’t notice. My daughter came to Swim Float Swim scared to put her face under the water; she has been at Swim Float Swim now for 4 months and she can out swim me! I cannot even express how grateful I am for this program and stress enough how it is worth every cent you will spend. I had another moment recently where my daughter went with a group of children down by a pond to visit the wildlife there. I heard some parents of these children worrying about the visit and I was again so thankful for Swim Float Swim, I knew if my daughter happened to fall in on this visit, she would know exactly what to do.  Caprice Rushing

Swim Float Swim! sets the industry standard for swim lessons by providing a comprehensive set of critical water skills to our students. Our goal is to equip your child with the necessary skills and confidence to survive in the water in the event of an accidental encounter. Once this is accomplished, your child will thrive in our continuing group classes under the direction of our dedicated and knowledgeable instructors.   FunDay groups are for children 2-4 years old to practice their skills, maintain confidence, and improve retention. Strokes n’ Floats groups introduce more advanced skills to accomplished 4 and 5 year-olds. Stroke School teaches freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke over the course of several levels, initially focusing on freestyle and backstroke. Find more information here.
